Vacation Bound
Homee Dad must confess its been a while since I have put pen to paper, or I suppose in this high tech society that would be fingers to keyboard. I am reminded of this fact after speaking to Hilary who perhaps is my most vocal fan. either that or she is the one without a life?
Well its been a long summer for both sidekick Sue and yours truly. It seems more each year that we are hired to control the influx of mindless zombies that decide to grace our paradise from June - July. SK Sue has had it especially tough as she is working in Dryden as one of their Sgt's as they are down quite a bit. She has been commuting back and forth and putting in her time along the way.
Summer has had some bright spots though, Homee's mom came up to Kenora for a while, she managed to make the trip while Kaden was here!!!!! ( oh - steph, Matt and MEGO were also around ). Homee was able to switch some time with other boys in blue so he could attend the graduation of # 1 Son. It was quite the experience to see Thomas all grown up, both an officer and a gentleman. I was so proud !!!!!!!
Homee spent one week in Orillia at the OPP youth summer camp. No before yo say it, I was a councilor. What an experience - it was something I would put at the top of my list to do again.
Homee has also been courting a new job as he is now serving as the Community Services Officer for Kenora. For those with some memory left you may say " self didn't SK Sue have that title at one time" The answer would be yes - SK did it for approx. 5 years so I have an excellent resources to draw from.
As I write this Homee and SK are but 2 hours away from leaving on vacation. We are on our way to Shuswap Lake in BC, a journey we make every year at this time. WE plan to use this 10 days to recharge our systems and return refreshed.
Homee admits this blog perhaps may not live up to those in the past yet I felt the need to make contact.

about time we all heard from you. and yes i may be your biggest fan, and i may have no life ... hahah. i am sooo jealous i want a present from the lake, i miss it there, perhaps next summer my newfie and i could make the journey too .. who knows. hope SK Sue has fun with you, i am sure as always she will have some great stories to tell us ..lol.....and congrats on the job

I agree with Hilary, it's about time you blogged. I want pics...I want to see your pumpkin. Mine are doing very well considering the drought we have had all summer. We've had no rain since the beginning of June and this past weekend we finally got some. Not enough to do much good, but it's a start.
Hilary, what's this about picture size....I didn't know this. Now I have to figure out where you're talking about.
I know about that picture size change spot....Wow, I'm even smarter than Homee.
HOW'S THE PUMPKIN DOING? Mine are awesome. What will be the official picking date?
