Don't give up - there's always hope!

A few days ago Homee Dad and Sidekick Sue went on a trip to the big city - yep -" Shopping",
actually not all that bad as Sidekick Sue loves Home Depot, Revy and those places just as much as Homee Dad. But of course the Mall is a must . While we are at the mall S.K. was doing her thing while H. D. was doing his - standing against the wall looking like I had something on my mind ( just in case someone was looking ). Actually just in case S.K . looked my way and accused me of looking bored???? ( Why would she thing that?)

While I stand there attempting to look attentive and anxious to go to the next box store, I heard an intriguing conversation. Behind me was an obvious senior speaking to what I expect was her daughter. Then a male ( sounding late teenish ) comes into the conversation which went something like this.

Teen - hey gramma, how was the poker game last night
Gram - quite good dear , I finished up $1.45

They both giggled and sounded like a greeting with a kiss.

Teen - so we still on for Friday night gramma - good movies playing
Gram - oh " ????" you really must have something else to do with your Friday nights - or at least with someone less ......

Teen cuts in - Gramma we have been doing this once a month for at least a year, are you dumping me? have you met someone else?

Know I could almost feel gramma blush while she giggled again pecking Teen on the check I expect

Gram - same time dear?
Teen - like usual gramma.

One could stop here and this would be such a wonderful encounter - but lets continue.

It was clear the three were getting on there way, Homee Dad with a smile on his face turned to take a peak. With that the lesson was learned, he saw Gramma, Mom ( i assume ) and Teen. Yes Teen was probably 18 - 19 years old. He appeared to be the poster child for the " GOTH " magazine, and had more piercings than Thomas has Tattoo's!

Homee dads faith in the future grew 10 times that day!~!!!!

Just had to share this encounter - sometimes we all need a kick in the butt.
I smiled all the way home!
