The past has returned

As Homee dad turned in last night he could never have imagined what he would wake to in the AM. As he lay there with SKS in her nighty and he in his cap, looking forward to fall to a nice evenings nap. Subconsiouly he was aware of the pitter patter of little feet but alas his mind held him in the sleep mode and he was not able to spring out of his bed to see what was the matter.
While visions of presents, they danced in his head, your Homee laid snuggled all nice in his bed. Then while he awoke, yes he opened his eyes, cleared all the sleepy dust then he could rise. He went far down the hallway, the other side of the house, startled as he noticed returned "CHRISTMAS MOUSE".
There was no dobt, no none not a bit, anymore
the mouse he returned on this day as before
a new look christmas mouse but his message is clear
the same as before always this time of year
smile and be friendly, be thankful and good
cause he's always watching he promised he would
for 24 days he will be here, wont leave
except on that night, you know the one Christmas Eve
Homee Dad wishes all the best of the season

I must confess that I've had a good time,
reading story and comments
presented in rhyme.

but how can that be? The Christmas Mouse is here? Could it be that this old mouse, at this time of life has produced an offspring?

A new generation. How exciting.

same mouse but new look
did you not read the book
while some look for a change
even he studied the range
a nip and a tuck
but he never got stuck
peer pressure he's under
he had to look younger
but he is not ashamed
for his ego he blaims
