BYE AZIA

So as you all know Hommee Dad and SKS have lots of dogs. Most are poodle's, but one is a Canardly - you know, you can hardly tell what type of dog she is. She was Hommee's dog. Azia came to us as a foster dog about 6 years ago. She never left. Azia has brought much colour to our lives!! Shortly before Christmas SKS found a lump in Azia's throat. A quick trip to the vet meant for some scary news. Seems Az had cancer - and it was moving very fast - kinda like her when she saw a deer!! Hope as we might, this was one christmas wish that wouldn't come true -yesterday Azia died peacefully, although far to soon for us.
All of our dogs have taught us things over the years, and Azia has been no exception. I thought I would share three things that Azia taught us.
1. when you see something in life that you want - chase it - now! - regardless of what other's might say, you never know what you might find.
2. When an obstacle is in your way, jump on it!! When you are on top, sit down and smile, just so the world knows you are there!
3. Be fiercly loyal to your people - bite anyone that isn't. When in doubt, see lesson number 1!
Wherever she is now I am sure that there are lots of deer to chase, poodles to pester and docks to jump off of!! Bye Azia.

That's really sad HD .... I really like this:

***************************
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
