final note from the Coral
Well Huatulco Mexico was absolutely amazing, we went rafting down an amazing river were kids lined up to wave, they were holding iguana's that had to be 3 - 4 feet long ( they were petting their bellies). After getting a chance to jump into the river chasing the rafts, water fighting with other rafts - we ended the tour by entering the delta into the Pacific Ocean.
Later that day on ship we were met by at least 100 - 150 dolphins that chose to play in our wake. Since our room is at the front of the ship we had an amazing view from our balcony. Cannot wait to show some of the pics. Nations Geographic will be banging on our door!
This amazing day ended with a deck party that went on into the evening, food, dancing, and RUM. Homee Dad made the ultimate sacrifice as I was pushed into the Mr. Coral Princess contest by one of the cruise directors. SKS and our friends the BRITS stood behind me all the way - yeh they helped push. Any way HD walked away with a 2nd place medal - (Stupid newlyweds, they get everything!)
So then we started our sea days on route to L.A. - Nothing slowed down, we figured we may get a rest but action continued all day and night. Games, food, dancing and of course RUM. Almost forgot about the whales we saw while entering the area of the Mexican Baja - they followed the ship for quite some time. Difficult to get pics as they kept their distance.
This has been an amazing trip, we have seen dolphins, sharks, whales, alligators,tucans, white faced monkeys, scarlet macaws, and various other birds all in their natural environment. We have seen some beautiful country not to mention an amazing feat of engineering in the Panama Canal.
Its hard to say this but knowing we have to return we are prepared to get back to the routine, we will have to cook for ourselves ???
Planning for the next one - unsure where but it will happen - any takers ?????
