Day two on the Empress

Homee Dad and SKS are having a wonderful time at sea. Our dinner group is great, we have a couple from Lomdon Ont, England, Washington and Conn. Today we spent the day in St. Maarten, what a wonderful island, one of the islands we have never been. Went to market in the morning and beach in the afternoon. They even have Rum on this island - lifw is good.

The crew on the ship is fantastic, have made many friends already. Its wierd because I am refered to as Mr. Cain or in many cases David, On the Sea we were always refered to as Miss Megans Parents. (we have an identity) But we do miss Mego.

Tonight is Captains Dinner - with our table I know ot will be great. Tomorrow we are going to visit a volcano!!! We have signed up with our friends for a murder mystery dinner on Wed. Evening. Cocktails, mini food things, 5 course italian dinner and unlimited white / red vino.

Have attempted to add pics but for some reason its not working - will try again tomorrow.

Homee needs to get out more

Adventures of Homee Dad and Sidekick Sue have begun, we decided to head to the city today so that we would not get caught by the weather or road issues. SKS being the social convener for our adventures booked us into the newest of hotels "The Sandman" near the airport.

Homee was excited to find a rate of $89.00 per night at this hotel - the newest of new. Homee while pulling into the lot says to himself " self - why would this hotel be so cheap?

We soon learned that the hotel has just been opened and there are but a dozen or so persons booked in. Why then I ask myself would we be one of a dozen rooms yet find our self on the fourth floor , as far away from the lobby as possible. I felt sorry as SKS hauled our luggage down the miles of hallway.

We opened the door to our spacious room - Homee still suspicious of the rate. But alas it took but seconds for Homee to discover the cover up. As you can see in the attached pic, it seems the Sandman is saving $$$ in its choice of accessories. You can imagine my surprise as I noticed that instead of supplying a sink they chose to place a large soup bowl with a plunger in its place. Did they not realise they were dealing with Homee Dad. I miss nothing, not the smallest detail. As I brought this keen observation to the attention of SKS she had the nerve to laugh and make light of Homee's attention to detail.

SKS then went on to attempt to explain this unusual item as very ZED or ZEN or something of that nature. Homee needs to get out more. Zed used to be the last letter of the alphabet, but apparently it is making its way into the nations bathrooms.

Day one - Homee learned he needs to get out more

Homee Dad to set sail soon

For those who are unaware, Homee Dad and Side kick SUE will be leaving in 9 more sleeps for another Caribbean adventure. This time we will set said from San Juan for 12 days. We are quite excited as four of the islands we have never been to.
Quite a long story as we figured it would be a couple years until we made it but SK Sue being the awesome searcher, she is found a great deal. We will be on Royal Caribbean " the empress" outside state room, 12 days, flights from Toronto included - $900.00 per person. When SKS called me at work, Homee Dad being the ultimate optimist said " I think they mean $1900.00, its probably a typo". SKS not wanting to give up checked with our people who confirmed the price, SKS booked it immediately - we would get the time off later.
One week later the price returned to just over $1800.00. We were told that RC often does this with their cruises you lust need to search. Timing is everything. By the way SKS was on the RC site the other day - 13 day South America - $894.00 PP. ( not sure if flight was included on this one?
So from 28 Jan - 08 Feb Homee Dad will be putting pen to paper as he describes their adventures on the sea. I wonder if there will be any RUM on this trip?
Very excited
