What if we didn't have bunnies?

Its Easter Bunny - Find your own Fricken Carrot

OK, I know the Easter message and what its all about, we have learned it from the time we were wee gaffers and remember the message today. But Homee wished to expand the mind, not to far of course cause, well I'm just not sure how far I can go and still find my way back.

Ever since we could seek things out we were all exposed to the great hunt, no not the Black Bear cause that's not allowed in Ontario any more. Not even the hunt for Christmas presents cause that also was never really allowed. I speak of course of the great Easter Egg Hunt. Here in Kenora as we speak hundreds of little people are lining up behind a small nylon rope waiting for the word to start the game. You must remember - the game that starts as fun and usually ends in disaster for the smaller of the little ones. The starting of a Marathon has nothing on the start of the hunt.

Before to long we will have parents cheering and yelling at their kids, directing them to the next piece of solid chocolate gold (usually directing them over or through some confused child standing in fear of the experience). Of course that child standing has their parents yelling to move!!, you won't get anything if you just stand there! Failure can be seen in their faces as they watch the Easter hunt bully grab yet another 6" solid bunny.

Oh yes the Easter hunt is one that every child must experience, the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. But alas Homee as always sees the entire picture, Why has Green Peace ignored this annual on slot, are they so wrapped up in spray painting fur coats, and attempting to ram battle ships in the middle of the Atlantic that they have forgot the obvious?

Has anyone wondered why you have never seen a chocolate bunny hopping around your neighbourhood, or why we can buy only chicken eggs at Safeway. Has anyone ever cracked a fresh bunny egg in the pan. You know the ones, they may be blue, yellow, green or even pink, usually come in a bunch sitting on a bed of coloured shredded paper. No of course we have not seen either the chocolate bunny nor cracked the coloured egg. Why you ask?

The why is easy, its a government plot to keep Easter coming. I am exposing the people we elect because Homee knows no bounds when it comes to doing what is right. There are solid chocolate bunny farms where they keep these poor creatures and collect all the coloured eggs storing them for the one day that comes every year. There I have said it! I am willing to take the consequences, I will always be looking over my shoulder for that black sedan with smoked glass windows and the listening for the " kidnap the syco music in the background".

If I do locate the secret farm I will also advise my followers!

Have a great Easter
